Seasonal Conditions Workshop and Farm Walk.

Farmers are invited to attend this workshop and farm walk focusing on planning and managing your farming enterprise during periods of unfavorable seasonal conditions

Fiona Baker and Greg Bekker from Agriculture Victoria will be joining us at the Phillip Island property of Bill and Amanda Cleeland to facilitate a seasonal conditions workshop and farm walk, an extremely relevant topic considering the dry summer and early autumn we are currently experiencing in Bass Coast. 
 
The workshop and farm walk will discuss the following topics:

• Supplementary feeding tips and reminders
• Assessing pastures - What condition are my pastures in?
• What species will come back when it rains? Do I need to resow?
• Animal health, what to look out for
• Options if the dry season continues
• Dam volume calculations
• Water Management Strategies
