Regenerating THE Kongwak Hills - soil health workshop a success

​It was wonderful to host 30 soil enthusiasts at our “Regenerative Land Care” event on Saturday 14 September at the Outtrim Hall where presenter and author Stefanie Hildmann shared wisdom and practical techniques from her recently published book “Radical Soil Care - a no-nonsense guide to soil health”. 

Stefanie explained the relationship of soil biology and soil organic matter and it’s function in regenerating the landscape - “no habitat, no inhabitants” and there was great group discussion on strip grazing practices and managing weeds - or are they plants growing in the wrong place?

Attendees came away with practical knowledge and solutions to apply to their own properties and were warmed by a delicious soup and pastry lunch prepared by Kelly’s Bakery in Korumburra.

Congratulations to Juanita who won a copy of Stefanie’s book as the lucky door prize.
