Field Day Case study stories of local tree and timber enterprises. Local solutions to global problems.

​The Bass Coast Landcare Network in partnership with Gippsland Agroforestry Network
are co-hosting a field day tour looking at two case study examples of local enterprise
growing and milling timber in Southern Gippsland.

If you’re interested in integrating trees into your farming landscape and would like to know more about a reinvigorated local sawmilling culture, then this field day is not to be missed.
 
On this day we will be visiting:

• Farm Visit 1 - Tantaraboo, Ranceby Tree farmers, Frank and Sharon Hirst. 9.30am - 12.00pm.
• Farm Visit 2 - Amber Creek Farm and Sawmill, Fish Creek sawmillers Dan and Amelia Bright.           1.30pm to 4.00pm.

 
You will also hear from local architect Paul Haar who will provide insight into existing timber industry and highlight the value of localised solutions to global challenges.

Locations:  Farm address details will be forwarded onto you upon confirmation of registration.
Morning and afternoon tea provided.    BYO lunch.
