Wonthaggi urban

Retain, Restore and Revegetate Public Land
in the Wonthaggi Area
We are a vibrant and active group with a passion and commitment for conservation.  The group was formed in 1996 as an umbrella group of the Bass Coast Landcare Network.  The group is run by a volunteer committee of management with a strategic action plan, focussed on improving the environment and community appreciation of our locality.

Wonthaggi is in a unique position of having extensive public land within the township some which is already accessible and well used and other tracts which require conservation and maintenance.

We welcome volunteers of all ages and various levels of fitness to help us in our work. Any assistance is welcome whether one off or a longer commitment.

There are a variety of tasks to be involved in.  Working-bees are held according to seasonal suitability and are not only interesting but a great way to meet like minded people and learn about the environment.  All equipment is provided on
 the days.
