The Growing Southern Gippsland project is profiling local farmers successfully adapting to climate change, running knowledge-sharing workshops on local farms and providing tailored scientific and business management resources via a new website.  GrazFert is a program developed for grazing farmers by AgVIC and includes: Identification and mapping of farm management zones on your property, Assessment of soil fertility status and trends on your property, Soil testing and analysis by qualified AgVIC and or/landcare staff, Development of a Farm Nutrient Budget and Farm Nutrient Management Plan in conjunction with you the farmer, Two facilitated workshops focusing on the 4R’s- Right Product, Right Place; Right Rate and Right Time.

Landcare, Coastcare and other environmental volunteer groups/networks and individuals that have or are undertaking revegetation activities in 2019 are invited to participate in a project to monitor the survival rate of these revegetation plantings.

Some great speakers are coming along to these events, with topics including Protecting Native Bee Habitat, Native Bees and Crop Pollination, Native Bees in Orchards, Berry Farms and Nature Reserves, and Hover Flies and Other Important Invertebrates.
