​In 2022, a partnership project between Bass Coast Landcare Network, South Gippsland Landcare Network, Trust for Nature, INVERT-ECO, Drift Media and the Gippsland Threatened Species Action Group was funded by the Australian Government.  The project was titled “Enhanced Knowledge and Protection of the Giant Gippsland Earthworm”.

Chris' Planting - Bena September 16th

​Bass Coast Landcare Network, Korumburra Landcare Group and Gippsland Threatened Species Action Group will be teaming up for a community tree planting day at Chris Miller’s property in Bena on Saturday, the 16th of September.
The project will contribute establishing important habitat for the endangered Giant Gippsland Earthworm using guidelines developed through the 2022 GGE Threatened Species Grant. On the day, we will aim to plant 3500 plants!
Lunch will be provided, please make sure any dietary requirements are provided. We hope to see you there!
When: 16th of September 2023, 10am – 2pm
Where: 77 Main Rd, Bena
Catering: Lunch provided by landholder
What to Bring: Gumboots, gloves, water bottle and wet weather gear
