***EDITED - This event is now to be held on Wednesday 15th December at 7pm due to technical difficulties on the original date***
With changes in climate, can we re-assess what is possible in landscapes and gardens? What crops, what seasons, what methods and who is already demonstrating leadership in this area and how? What would a comfortable home able to withstand climatic fluctuations of 2040 have to have in place and how would you do it? These are just some of the questions answered by forward thinking home and garden owners in a new video series, set to debut on Thursday 2nd December at 7pm in an online video and Q&A launch. Are you interested in joining a wonderful discussion on local enterprise with trees and timber in South Gippsland?
If you’re thinking of integrating trees into your farming landscape, if you’d like to be part of a reinvigorated local sawmilling culture, or if you’re keen to build sustainably with local farm grown or salvaged wood, then this webinar is not to be missed. Are you a local grower, producer of food related items, distributor, veg box scheme host, or just interested in buying more of your food locally? If so, we need you!! We are hosting a Community visioning session ‘Getting more local food to local people’ on Saturday 20th November from 2-4pm at the Community hall in Bass, 2-4 Bass School Road. For those that can’t make the in-person session, there will be a similar session run online on Thursday 25th of November from 7-830pm.
We want to hear from you about our local food system, what you think is working, what is not working, what you would like to see happening and what are some of the ways we can work together to make that happen? |
