The Bass Coast Landcare Network in partnership with Melbourne Water are hosting this exciting field day featuring expert representatives from the Mulloon Institute.
A new tour series, ‘Looking at the Landscape with Landcare’ is about to begin, designed to explore and connect us with the unique and valued landscapes of Bass Coast, giving insights into their history, and the people who care for them, protect and conserve them.
It’s not every day that you can get a look over the fence at local farms as well as public sites or hear firsthand from the people doing the work on ground to protect and conserve them. By connecting with your local landscape and people, we want to get you inspired to look after your local environment with Bass Coast Landcare Network and our local Landcare Groups. First up on Friday 28th of October is a look at some of the work going on across Phillip Island. Phillip Island Landcare Group has put together an itinerary for a fantastic full day bus tour that will share the long-term management and development of some well-known sites and some new ones, as well as a look at some local farms doing great work to restore landscapes and protect remnant vegetation. |
