You are invited along to this exciting farm walk to learn more about Natural Capital Accounting on farms. Natural Capital Accounting methods have been developed for assessing both vegetation and soils on farm which can be turned into accounting terms that may attract future funding and trading opportunities. This farm walk will feature regenerative agriculture consultant, Declan McDonald and Karen Thomas from Melbourne Water who will talk us through the Natural Capital Accounting process and analyse the soils and vegetation benchmarking results that have been completed for our host farm, Prom Country Cheese. Natural Capital Accounting is a great way for you to track and validate your farms ecological health, this makes it of interest to landowners who are interested in offset payment and trading schemes as well as those who are just interested in conservation and sustainable land management. This should be a fantastic day not to be missed so register quickly if you wish to join us. Event Details Date: Friday 6th May 2022. Time: 10.30am to 1.30pm Location: Prom Country Cheese, Moyarra. Farm address details will be forwarded onto you upon confirmation of attendance. Lunch: Morning tea provided. BYO lunch. Please RSVP for this event by Monday 2nd May 2022.
