Citizen Science Monitoring Activity Fun Day

Be a citizen scientist for the day and come along to this free, fun, hands on field day designed for all ages to explore different techniques, technologies and engaging ways to
observe and record our beautiful environments and the many living things within them.

This day will include:

• Learning about our beautiful bird life by participating in an informative walk with a bird expert who will teach us some basic bird ID skills.
• A fun bug blitz style exploration activity.
• Explore the micro beast world living in our waterways.
• Learn how to log your plant and animal sightings and discoveries in the inaturalist app and the Atlas of Living
• Australia to help record our local biodiversity.

All children must be accompanied by an adult, BCLN is a Childsafe organisation and complies with all Childsafe standards.

Event Details

Date: Saturday 12th of October
Time: 10am - 2pm
Venue: Bass Hall, and River Garden - Meet at the Bass Hall
2-4 Bass School Road, Bass 3991.
Bring: A water bottle, wear sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing.
