DIY Monitoring Day - for farms of all sizes

​Come along to this hands-on field day on Saturday 21st of September at Bass, to learn how to set up a monitoring program on your own property including, revegetation monitoring, water quality testing for dams and streams and a rapid soil assessment. Read on for details. 

This day is designed for farms of all sizes and will give some hands on instruction on setting up the following on your own property:

• Learn how to monitor the success and quality of revegetation projects with Sacha Jellinek of Greening Australia who runs the ‘Monitoring Revegetation activities - Adaptive Learning Project’.
• Learn how to use an Environmental Water quality kit to test quality of water for your farm dams, streams or creeks with Lisa Wangman of Bass Coast Landcare Network - BYO water sample from your farm dam or waterway.
• Learn how to do a rapid soil assessment for your paddocks with Lisa Wangman of Bass Coast Landcare Network - at the River Garden educational growing space

Citizen Science Monitoring activity fun day - including:

• Bird Identification and monitoring, Water bugs, Bug Blitz and recording plant and animal sightings via the inaturalist App and Atlas of Living Australia - please see separate flyer for all booking details.
