Bass Coast Landcare Network can’t wait to get you involved in a series of information and hands on activity days starting Saturday March 24th at the River Garden in Bass. What a great way to get involved in this dynamic, new space, soon to be a community garden, trials, innovation and education precinct on the banks of the Bass River. Click the read more tab to find out what's in store for this day, bookings link and to find our flyer for the event series. A draft plan for the site has been prepared and we need your help to get things moving and develop this site into its future potential. This series has been designed as ‘hands on learning’ days, to share information and get you, our community involved and interested in setting up some of the site for planting food and other crops for trial and demonstration. The ‘Growing Community, Growing Food – Hands on days’ series will see the return of expert horticulturalist Jarrod Ruch, sharing his wealth of knowledge while we work, so you can learn about sustainably growing food at all scales from the garden to the farm. You can come to all four workshops or just pick and choose the ones that interest you. The main themes of each day are outlined below, see the advertisement in this paper for full details.
For further information you can call or email Peter Baird, Education officer at the Bass Coast Landcare Network office on 03 5678 2335, or [email protected] These workshops and associated on ground works are funded from a grant received from the Port Phillip and Westernport Community Grants program. You can also click on the document link below to see the flyer with full details for each day. ![]()
