Growing Southern Gippsland's eleventh video in the 'Farm Profile Series' introduces Mark and Margaret Brammar of Strzelecki Heritage Apples based in Strzelecki, who grow a huge variety of heritage apples as well as various other products. You can find Mark and Margaret at many of the local Southern Gippsland farmers markets selling their various products and telling their interesting story. They also run sheep in a diverse operation that is entrenched in their sustainability vision.
The Brammars have noticed changes in the blossoming times of their apple trees over the last few years, a sign of a changing climate, among other interesting observations. Watch the snapshot video to gain an insight into Strzelecki Heritage Apples and how their journey may be relevant to your own. The Growing Southern Gippsland project will continue to showcase our 12 case study farms throughout the project and into the future.
