Based on the six-day FarmPlan21 course, the course has been condensed to a three-day course. It provides an opportunity for landholders to develop a property plan based on ecological and economic factors. The property planning process includes an assessment of a property’s assets/features, and sustainability and biodiversity assets. The following topics are covered: Understanding & assessing your properties’ natural features, assets and issues • Soil types/characteristics/health, land classes/capabilities, erosion & pest plants/animals Property infrastructure and layout • Water supplies/storage, land class fencing & infrastructure Pasture & stock management • Stock & pasture health, productive/cost effective grazing systems Creating an attractive, environmentally sustainable property • Improving a properties landscape and biodiversity values, managing waterways & revegetation DETAILS COURSE: over 3 days- Saturday Oct 27, Nov 11 & Nov 17, 2018. 9am (for a 9.30am start) to 4pm. LOCATION; Krowera Hall, Krowera VIC COST: $150 per property INCLUSIONS: A laminated aerial property map, soil test, lunch and morning tea.
