Please join us for this free community workshop focusing on the links between Healthy Soil, Nutritional Food and Healthy People. There will be presentations focusing on the importance of producing and eating high quality food which is sustainably produced with minimum impact on the environment.
Welcome to The House on the Hill Olive Grove, a property owned and managed by Justin and Melanie McCulloch. Situated on the picturesque Anderson/San Remo Peninsula, the property has over 1000 olive trees and produces locally grown olives and award-winning Olive Oil. You are invited to join us for a tour of the property and hear Justin and Melanie’s story of sea change and their journey to become Olive Oil award winners.
On Friday the 19th of May Bass Coast Landcare Network hosted a tour of the best Landcare revegetation project sites throughout the Powlett River Catchment area. A group of 37 farmers came from all over Victoria to join us to have a look at the great work that Bass Coast Landcare Network have been undertaking with its volunteers over the past 20 years.
In partnership with the French Island Landcare Group, come and join us for our exciting one day bus tour to Peppermint Ridge Farm and participate in a training bush foods workshop. After lunch we will be visiting the property of respected agronomist, Chris Alenson, for a tour of his Macclesfield property.
The Phillip Island Landcare Group has organised a series of walks aimed to explore Phillip Island. Over four Saturdays in May you can spend time with fellow walkers completing a circumference of our beautiful Island home.
The popular ‘Bunny Boiler Challenge’ annual fundraising dinner for the Phillip Island Landcare Group is back in 2017 bigger and better than ever!
The date is set for Friday 2nd June and will again be hosted by the Cape Kitchen. There will again be opportunites for renowned and aspiring chefs and home cooks to present their best rabbit recipes in competition for prizes and local esteem. Bass Coast Landcare Network is delving deep into the little known fungal realms in a full day workshop with Natural History Photographer and Research Ecologist Alison Pouilot, this May in Archies Creek. Learn the basics of mushroom identification, examine and discuss samples, even bring your own specimens for identification. Read on for more details.
You are invited to attend our Soilkee Demonstration field day at the property of Ron and Carmen Barnacle. Come along to see the Soilkee Renovator in action. Expert agronomists will also be attending and will facilitate a walk and talk through the property comparing treated and untreated paddocks.
